AUGUST NEWS

JR Cavagin was our first winner in August and came out after his recent success at York to win his nursery at Beverley under Kevin Stott. He looked beat until the final furlong where he then stayed on gamely to win by ½ length.

Van Gerwen was the next winner in August who made all under Kevin Stott at Ripon He has such a big character and even after hanging across the track in the final furlong he still held on to win by a neck

The 14th august gave us another unforgettable day with an across the card treble. Militia came out and followed up his Musselburgh win at Chester under Kevin Stott. Drawn wide he ran a blinder and gamely battled to the line to win by ¾ of a length. The other two winners came at Pontefract, the first one was Ballintoy harbour ridden by Graham Lee. Another exciting two year old we are lucky to have in training bolted up to win by 2 ¼ lengths and we think she will have a great future ahead of her.

It was then the turn of Ponte specialist and one of the yard favourites Mr Orange. It was Graham lee again in the saddle and he gave him a fantastic ride and when he hit the front, he went on to win easily and score by 2 ½ lengths. That was his 6th win here over course and distance.

Saluti was the next winner of the month and his second success of the season which came at Beverly this time where he managed to win by a nose for Graham Lee. Its also his owner Bob Bradleys local track so they were pleased to be able to cheer him home on their home turf.

It was back over the Pennines again to Chester where Orvar got back to winning ways again for owner Andy Taylor. Ridden by Paul Mulrennan he travelled well and got a great run throughout the race to get up in last furlong and win by a head.

Militia finished off the month again with a win making it his third win in a row when he headed back up to Musselburgh with Graham Lee back in the saddle. It was another great performance from him, and he ran on to lead inside the final furlong to win by a neck. Hes in the form of his life and although he was beaten next time out at Haydock there is still plenty to come from him. click on the link below to watch his race.
