June news

The last fortnight of June has been fantastic for us sending out 7 winners. Good old Buccaneers Vault was our first at Redcar with Kevin Stott aboard for owner Mrs Sheila Bradley, he travelled well through the race and when Kevin asked him to go he went on to win by half a length. That was his third win at Redcar.

Two days later took us to Ripon were, I am a dreamer won easily under P j Mcdonald by 2 lengths for new owners for us Dab hand racing. It was also Morgan's first time leading up a winner so well done to her, unfortunately, there was no crowd there to see but I'm sure it was still as special

The following day was Redcar where Sambucca Spirit broke his maiden tag and won by 2 lengths under Kevin Stott for owner Carl Chapman. He's always been a big raw horse and thanks to carl being patient with him the now 4 yr old seems to have come out this season bigger and stronger.

Three days later it was over the border to Hamilton in Scotland where it was Manshoods turn to take the spoils for owner Andy Taylor. Given a lovely patient ride from Paul Mulrennan he looked the winner a long way out and won by a length and a half.

The day after Manshoods success in Scotland we headed in the opposite direction down south of the country to Bath. Drawn wide Indian Sounds made it a nail-biting finish under a brilliant ride from Kevin Stott to get up and win by half a length for owner Mr Bob Bradley. After being beaten a neck into 2nd at Thirsk before this it was great to see him get his head in front this time and I'm sure we will have a lot of fun with him this season. This was also Graces first time leading up a winner and as he's one of her favourites that made it even better.

It was back down south again the next day to Newmarket with yard stalwart, line of reason ridden by P j Mcdonald giving owner Andy Taylor his second winner of the week. Lionel who is now 10 years old showed he still loves his racing, he travelled all the way through the race and took it up inside the final furlong to win by half a length.

It was local track Thirsk that our seventh winner come at and that was Big Sammy aka Sambucca Spirit. His second win in 8 days showed that he definitely has come back stronger this year, ridden again by Kevin Stott he was prominent throughout the race and went on to score by half a length.

There was also some good promising runs from others in the yard one being Pavers pride who finished second on his last two outings and Pumaflor who looked like he is coming back to winning ways at Leicester only beaten a neck. Merry Banter did us proud up at Ayr where she finished 3rd in the fillies listed race. Two yr old burning cash showed promise on his debut run at Doncaster and followed up that run at Hamilton finishing 2nd. Two-year-old JR Cavagin had his first outing at Doncaster and will come on for the experience. we have a few more two-year-olds that we are looking forward to running soon including three new purchases from Goffs breeze-up sales, more about them to come! below are some pics of JR's first day out
